I'm a data visualization designer with a passion for data storytelling about world events and politics. I have experience with data analysis, front-end development, visual design, and UX, including user research and usability testing.
I work at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City, where I create static and interactive graphics for editorial articles and other publications, and am finishing a M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization at the Pratt Institute. Before CFR, I worked at Graphicacy, where I designed interactive visualizations for mission-driven clients.
I prioritize clear communication in all of my work. I enjoy beautiful graphics, but I believe simple charts are often best. And I believe in using analytics and user research to inform design and strategy. My go-to tools are Illustrator, R, and D3, but I'll never stop loving Excel.
I previously worked in international development at InterAction and as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow in the Dominican Republic, and graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations. Other passions include progressive politics, bluegrass music, and designing board games.
